Like a glove
I just got off the phone with mad scientist, guitarist and guitar-tech extraordinaire Sam Hubbell regarding the baritone Tele. The Warmoth neck is married to the Tele body and Sam says it fit like a glove.
The Seymour Duncan pickups are in. We have decided to go with the cowboy look - a MOTS (Mother Of Toilet Seat) pickguard with cream-colored pickup covers. It's all about the vibe. There is, of course, a large body of evidence that suggests a MOTS pickguard is tonally superior - as John Boggess says, "It's a high-tone pickguard".
I'll gather the original neck and pickups from Sam later this week and sell them on eBay to help offset the cost of the new gear. We're waiting for the bridge and tuners to arrive to complete the project.
