Korg mini-KP Kaoss Pad

This evening I received my new Korg mini-KP Kaoss Pad. I put it through its paces with my white American Deluxe Strat running through the POD X3 into the mini-KP. The guitar, by the way, felt, played, and sounded awesome; I haven't had it out for a while and I don't know why.

The Kaoss Pad is a spectacular addition to my sonic arsenal. It is whisper quiet with tons of character; much of what a Bitrman could have been, but without the extra noise. What makes the device so interesting is I can't imagine what all I'll do with it! The possibilities are limited by the imagination and I have been imagining the sounds this little device can help me produce. The High Pass Filters alone are worth the price of admission.

I love the juxtaposition of traditional guitar tones with severely manipulated sounds. I have a set of cables on order which will allow me to run the mini-KP in series with my Boss SP-303, which I run in "external source" mode. The devices will be all over my upcoming work.

Now playing: Eivind Aarset, Light Extracts
