It was another busy week, as the next couple promise to be, as well. There was activity on several fronts, let's catch up, shall we?
I updated this website today, with an overhaul of the homepage and the addition of two new sub-pages; a bio page and a page dedicated to comments about my music from other recording musicians. These new pages can be reached from the homepage. As is my norm, I used CSS for the formatting and had the typical IE-failure-to-comply-with-standards experience, which forced a workaround. Aaargh to that, but I'm pleased with the final result.
Twitter has captured my fascination as a way to connect with folks. Regular readers know I added my tweets to this news page a few weeks back, but I'm on to this new Twitter connection thing now. I spent quite a bit of energy on Twitter this week and have "met" some wonderful folks with a passion for guitar.
This past week I split my playing time between working on
The Airport Exercise on my
black Ovation and improvising on the
red fretless. Tomorrow I intend to record looped improvs, beginning with the fretless and seeing where the muse takes me.
Our marketing work continues. We're getting word that several folks have purchased the album via iTunes since it went live last weekend; we're certainly stoked about that! We continue to execute the original plan and are preparing for the next steps. Exciting stuff on this front as push a bit on the envelope.
I am also tremendously excited about some ideas for the next release; I'm not ready to talk about them just yet, but look for more info down the road. Planning work continues on this front, as well.
Now playing: Kittyhawk, Not a Moment Too Soon
