Batch 116 - Quick and Dirty Raspberry Ale
Ingredients (2.5 gallons)
3 lbs. Munton Light Dried Malt Extract
0.25 lbs. 10L Crystal Malt
1 oz. Cascade Hops Pellets (4.4A) boiling
1.25 lbs. Frozen fresh picked raspberries
0.5 tsp Irish Moss
1 pkg. Windsor dry yeast (5 gr.)
2 gallons Spring water
1 gallons Distilled water
Estimated HBU's - 4.4 (1.7 per gallon)
O.G.: 1.050
F.G.: 1.013
Grain mix to 1.75 gallons spring water until boiling.
Add extracts and boiling hops at boil for 45 minutes.
Add Irish Moss at 30 minutes.
At 45 minutes cool and add to 1 gallons chilled distilled water in fermenter.
Pitched yeast at 63 degrees.
After primary fermentation has completed, rack and add pasteurized raspberries to secondary.
