Batch 51 - Cranberry Wheat Beer

Ingredients (2.5 gallons)

2.8 lbs. Alexander's Wheat Malt Extract
1.4 lbs. Alexander's Pale Malt Extract
0.5 lb. Crushed Wheat Malt
0.5 lb. Crushed 10L Crystal Malt
0.75 oz. Hallertau (3.3A) boiling
0.75 oz. Tettnanger (4.4A) boiling
0.75 lb. Pureed fresh Cranberries
1 pkg. Wyeast #3056 Bavarian Wheat liquid yeast
1 tsp Irish Moss
1.5 gallons Filtered tap water
1 gallons Distilled water


Estimated HBU's - 5.76 (2.3 per gallon)

Grain mix to 2 quarts filtered tap water at 150 degrees F for 30 minutes.
Strain grains and top up to 1.5 gallons with filtered tap water.
Add extracts and boiling hops and boil for 45 minutes.
Add pureed cranberries at 15 minutes.
Add Irish Moss at 30 minutes.
At 45 minutes cool and add to 1 gallon chilled distilled water in fermenter.
Pitched yeast at 74 degrees.
