Batch 4 - India Pale Ale

Ingredients (5 gallons)

6.6 lbs. Munton & Fison Amber Malt Extract
0.5 lb. Toasted Pale Ale Barley Malt
1 lb. Crystal Malt
1 oz. No. Brewer Hops Pellets (7.4A) boiling
1.5 oz. No. Brewer Hops Pellets (6.8A) boiling
0.25 oz. Cascade Hops Pellets (5.5A) boiling
1 oz. Cascade Hops Pellets (5.5A) finishing
1 pkg. Edme Ale Yeast (dried) 11.5 gr.
2 tsp. Gypsum
1 tsp Irish Moss
5 gallons Filtered tap water

Estimated HBU's - 19 (3.8 per gallon)

F.G.: 1.015

Toast Pale Ale barley malt for 10 minutes at 350.
Grain mix to 1.5 gallons of water until boiling.
Add extracts, gypsum, and boiling hops at boil for 60 minutes.
Add Irish Moss at 45 minutes.
Add finishing hops at 59 minutes.
At 60 minutes cool and add to 3.5 gallons chilled water in fermenter.
Pitched yeast at 67 degrees.
